Meet Our Co-Author - Crystal K. Melton
About Crystal K. Melton
Although raised in suburban New York, Crystal K. Melton considers herself to be a southern girl at heart. Born in Clinton, NC, her parents relocated to Harlem USA before her first birthday. However, her love for the south developed over the years while spending her summer vacations in North Carolina with her family. It was during these times that her strong faith in God and love of family would be reinforced.
Crystal spent her formative years in Queens, NY and was considered a book worm, as she would rather read then play jump rope. She continued her education at Cornell University where she studied Consumer Economics and Housing. With a strong desire to help people, her career would lead her to work in various positions where she taught and trained at some of the top 100 financial firms in the United States. Her career would also allow her to travel extensively and experience many other cultures.
Crystal’s vision is to inspire thousands of individuals to live their best lives. She has been blessed to speak before groups of women all across the country from the boardroom to the pulpit. In July 2007, she became an ordained Elder and serves alongside her husband at Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church in Long Beach, NY. Crystal resides in Freeport, Long Island with her husband of 26 years, Bishop Designate Isaac R. Melton, Jr and their daughter, Loren.
