About Jamee-Marie Edwards

Queens native Jamee-Marie Edwards is a literary enthusiast and lifelong artist. Her zeal for writing was fueled at an early age by her grandfather, who would take her out to Rockaway Blvd and tell stories as they watched the planes take off and land. As an author, Jamee-Marie particularly enjoys sharing stories that will empower her readers. One of the mottos she lives by is to become inspired so you can become an inspiration.Jamee-Marie loves the Lord and her desire to encourage others extends to the various creative arts ministries of which she is a part.

Jamee- Marie holds a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Health Education and Promotion from Benedictine University and a B.A. in Communications from Adelphi University.  In 2013, Jamee-Marie made her debut as an author with her Children's Book "But I am a Cat!" She is also the Founder of "The Me I Need To Be" Empowerment Program, which encourages participants to discover, embrace, and celebrate their unique gifts, talents, and abilities.
