About Melanie Kirkland

Pastor Melanie Turner-Kirkland, affectionately known as “Pastor Mel,” is a dynamic preacher who preaches the word of God with conviction and power.   In accordance with Isaiah 61, the Spirit of the Lord is upon Pastor Mel and the Lord has anointed her to proclaim good news to the poor...  Pastor Mel, once a self-proclaimed atheist, had her first encounter with God in 1999.  Much like the Apostle Paul it was then that she saw God work and answered His call to salvation.   The Lord did a quick work in Pastor Mel and she immediately began to serve Him with fervor and zeal. Pastor Mel was called to preach His gospel and was ordained a minister in June of 2004, ordained an Elder in October 2013, and began to serve as the Assistant Pastor at Mt. Olive Kingdom Builders Worship Center.   In June 2014 Pastor Mel launched MK Ministries, a ministry designed to encourage, edify, empower, and equip both men and women for faith-filled, prosperous, and victorious living.  It is Pastor Mel’s desire to change the lives of men and women everywhere she travels through the power of the Word of God.
